Manuel Veth –

Rich in raw football talent as its natural resource Latin America has always been responsible for adding flair to the beautiful game.

South American production line has unearthed some of the biggest football gems on the planet with the likes of Leo Messi or Neymar standings as flag bearers for a long list of exciting talents. Football is more than a game in South America and it’s every boy’s dream to make it across the Atlantic Ocean and onto the biggest football stage in Europe. For this time we teamed up with FootballPredictions.com, experts in the field of football tips, match previews and betting on football.

Not all can make the cut, however, and here we’ve trimmed the selection to top three Latin American talents to keep an on.

Tomas Alarcon

The 19-year-old defensive midfielder from Chile is an aggressive hunting dog who will chase opponents down as deep as it takes to regain possession with his snappy tackling and incisive movement. Alarcon is boasting impressive aerial awareness and will use his on and off-ball movement to get into positions for passes and perhaps a shot where needed.

This CD O’Higgins gem is a defensive asset which can be easily transformed into a centre-back and it is his overall versatility that’s made him a hot target for many a biggest football club.

Thiago Almada

The Velez Sarsfield attack-oriented midfielder is a fantastic dribbler who handles the ball with such care and tenderness that it makes him a joy to watch. Despite only being 17 years of age, the Argentina talent is a mentally mature player who has an eye for a pass and the ability to send defence splitting through balls.

A difference-maker is the best way to describe the youngster, who could be in for an exciting future overseas. According to several La Liga tips Thiago Almada might be a player that fit perfectly to La Liga.

Jan Carlos Hurtado

Venezuelan teenager Jan Carlos Hurtado is a striker who plays for Gimnasia. The 18-year-old is an epitome of fierce physicality who likes to put his body to great use. Not afraid to chase every ball and get into positions to open up play for his teammate, the Venezuelan forward is another in line of South American prospects who is slowly coming of age at extremely tender years.

Hurtado will need proper guidance, however, in order to learn how to manage his temper and physical exuberance but is a worthy addition to this list of biggest talents in Latin America.
